Here’s the cost breakdown: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1tPfq4uWChc4wKRQySSKCl8YXnS3Awun7-MYbwfCyWmE/edit#gid=0

Total cost about 415 and we made a 2 person tent, a 1 person tent and a Tarp. Although the discounted price is probably more than made up by the time taken to sew, we have quite a bit of extra materials, have a cool customized tent and have the skills now to make another one (and my friends think I’m cool)! I’d say it was worth it

Not sure how many hours we spent, but it took 8 days to do the 1 person tent and 2 days for the one person (because I stayed up a lot for it).

2 Person Tent

We used this to design it: https://dubberdesigns.com/downloads/kensho-2-tent/

A comparable 2 person tent is the Gossamer Gear “The Two” https://www.gossamergear.com/products/the-two

The Two Our Tent
Cost 375 180ish
Weight 23.5 oz 26 oz

I don’t really have that many pictures for the process sorry lol (nor for the tarp). But here’s the final 2 person tent:

Droopy because it’s staked incorrectly

Silpoly Tarp

Copied this but with silpoly: https://zpacks.com/products/flat-tarp-7-x-9-w-8-loops

1 Person Tent

The 1 person tent we basically copied is the 6 Moons Design “Lunar Solo,” but we took some measurements from doing the Kensho 2

We tried harder to make it light. No tri-rings or linelocs for this one. And used the lighter 1mm cord
